the particulars !
Manon is a strong individual in both her beliefs and her will. She knows how to hold her own ground and if anyone threatens that, she will fight back with all she has. The young woman will not be a pushover by any means. She, after a life of spent in solitude, has become accustomed to being on her own. Since she was young, she has been alone for most of her days which has made her a bit of a solitary creature. She enjoys being alone and often finds silence to be her one true companion. Now don't get her wrong, she is more than capable of being social and as chatty as the next woman, but forgive her if she seems a bit distant. She also likes to pay attention to detail. Plus it doesn't hurt that she is a pretty damn good judge of character. As they say, the devil is in the details. Maybe that's why the twenty-seven-year-old got into bed with the raiders. She's looking for some answers to the hardest of questions.
Besides all that, Manon is a sweet young woman who finds that she might just be a little too caring for those she hardly knows. She has a hard time turning away people who are in need. Of course, that have to be truly in need for her to come to their aid, but it can be hard to tell sometimes, especially in this day and age. Though the one thing Manon has learned from her life, it is that you do not judge anyone on looks alone. She tries to do right by what she believes in and is often reaching out and standing up for people who are judged too quickly. She is not one to stand for bullying, no matter the subject for which it is being done. She is compassionate, which some might find odd for who she is, but she doesn't see it as odd. She loves to see the humanity in the world and she thinks if she helps others, then others will do the same. However, Manon does have a bit of a temper. It does take quite a bit to bring it out of her, but it is there. It is a force to be reckoned with when it is at full force.
Now, romantically, Manon is pretty picky with what she wants. It's kind of funny to think about it, seeing as she's always off on her own, doing things that don't include other human beings. At this point in her life, she's not looking for happy ever after, she's just looking for someone to warm her bed at night. Anyways, she isn't the type of girl who will swoon over the little romantic gestures. She does enjoy them, but it will take a lot more than that to get her to trust you. She is a little oblivious to people coming onto her.

the history !
BEFORE THE OUTBREAK {TW: ATTEMPTED SUICIDE)
Growing up, Manon's life was pretty typical for a child who had two career driven parents. In fact, she doesn't really have many memories of the two of them ever being around when she was a little girl. Most of who she remembers are the many nannies and babysitters who were hired to care. Now, Manny wasn't particularly horrid child, her parents just thought it best that she not get attached to any one person. So every six months, or so, a new batch of nannies and babysitters would be inducted into the memories of little Manon. Sure, now she knows that they did all that so they could give her a good life and the things they never got to have at her age. However, that never seemed to satisfy the little brunette. As a child, Manon only ever wanted her parents to just show up to her recitals and school meetings. They never did show up, but everytime, you could see the little flames of hope dim when she realized they miss another event.
At the age of six, Manon was blessed with a little sister, a guarantee that her mother would be around, at least for a little while. This was true, of course, but it did very little for Manon. Her mother remained focused on the baby, letting the nannies and babysitters take care of troublesome little Manon. It's horrible to admit, but Manon detests her little sister for that very reason. The older Manon got, the less she cared about what her parents wanted for her. In her mind, it just wasn't worth it if they weren't there to see what they worked so hard to make and what they didn't work hard enough to see. By the time she was in her mid-teens, she'd had enough of being their perfect, albeit troublesome, girl. She started to do everything she could, and that was in her power, to get their attention. She even went as far as to throw herself in front of a speeding car at the age of sixteen. Sure, it got their attention, but it also landed her in a psych ward for six weeks. They still just didn't get it. By the time she was released back into her care, they'd returned to their career focused lives. That was it, she was done trying to win their attention away from their stupid careers and their other, more precious daughter.
A year later, Manon's father was offered a better position at the company and he was to be transferred to the states. Manon was thrilled with the chance of having a change of scenery. It meant new oppertunities for everyone and the chance for her and her parents to start anew. It was tough, but Manon and her father eventually bonded over things like hunting and cars. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for her relationship with her mother and even worse, her baby sister. It just wasn't in the cards. This, of course, meant Manon was out on her own by the time she was eighteen. It wasn't that her mother demanded it, but because Manon felt it best for the family to be at peace. The next four years were spent juggling college and her new found job at Disneyland. She'd been lucky enough to get a spot on the park's security team.
Two months after Manon graduated from college, her mother was killed in a hit and run accident. Unfortunately, Aeres, her little sister, was injured in the accident, which caused Manon's father immense stress. It was then that Manon turned down a big job in New York and stuck around to help out. A year later, all hell began to break loose.
AFTER THE OUTBREAK
Luckily for her family, she was working at Disney at the time of the outbreak, so they were in the park fairly early on. Since the outbreak, Manon's done what she can to keep her family safe, she's even gone as far as to leave her sister with another family. Well, that was only after her father just took off one day, probably drunk off his rocker. A week had gone by and Manon wrote him off as dead or undead. These days, she spends most of her time slinking around the park, looking for the secrets caches of food and, quite possibly, weapons. So far, her searches has been in vain, when it comes to food and weapons. She, on the other hand, has found some interesting hiding spots and some good places to tuck away from supplies. Other than that, she does what she can to help out the raiders on their raids and the other gain access to the park.
