the particulars !
Before the end of everything she knew, Honey was a soft girl. Top of her class, and in her final senior year, she was always the girl who followed instructions, did as she was told, and usually managed two to three extracurricular activities. In the beginning, these things remained, and she drifted through the terrifying beginning of what would soon prove to be the complete end of society altogether. As people around her began to die, however, and as they home burned, and their world flipped on its head, Honey was forced to change. Evolve, if you will.
The first to develop was her ability to stomach more and more. Whereas in the beginning, she could barely manage the sight of blood without dry heaving, or all out losing her lunch, this became more of a hindrance than most other things, and she was forced to simply get use to it. Afterwards came the need to protect herself. With less and less of her family remaining, and more groups proving to be dangerous for those they pretend to take in and care for, the need to fight, hand to hand more often than not, became more and more in demand. With this, of course, came a sense of strength, self, that she simply wasn't aware she was capable of.
As the last of her family drifted apart, now either missing or simply dead, Honey seemed to develop an outer tough shell. This shell, while not completely uncrackable, is thick, and tends to come across as emotionless, or, more often than not, sarcastic and uncaring. These, of course, are not her actual emotions in most situations, but they have become more or less a shield to protect herself. Emotional pain has become a torment in a world she has, time and time again, contemplated removing herself from by force. "taking the easy way out", as her mother had put it, was never an option, however, and, as the days wore into months, and those into years, Honey simply became distant and cold to others.

STRENGTHS
-Honey can push aside personal feelings, meaning she is capable of fully thinking out an action, instead of rushing blindly into something because of emotional issues.
-Despite her thick outer shell, Honey is fiercely loyal and protective. Once someone has earned her loyalty, she can forgive damn near any slight they may perform, even without adequate explanation or reason for it.
-Very rarely is Honey ever bothered by any type of conscious. Instead, she sports the ability to simply do what she feels she must in any given situation. This includes killing people, walking away from groups, stealing, or whatever else she can come up with.
-Having taken track, and archery, at her school, and camp, respectively, Honey is trained in the use of a bow, crossbow, and is trained in body for long distance running.
WEAKNESSES
-Has a very serious problem trusting people. Even if she might say she trusts them, it is rarely true.
-The larger the crowd, the more uncomfortable she becomes. Social situations aren't easy for her, especially if people are smiling, laughing, and enjoying themselves.
-Nightmares keep the young woman awake most nights now-a-days. Meaning early mornings aren't always good for her, unless she hasn't slept at all, in which case she is often way to ready to take on the world.
-Despite her semi-wavering moral standpoint on killing, maiming, or hurting people, she DOES have a passionate nature. It's hidden under there, but she is more than capable of feeling for someone, and strongly. In those rare instances they get passed her defenses, she tends to be blinded by that trust, be it love, or just simply trusting them. She can often forgive, over look, and make excuses for just about anything. From murder, to stealing, to petty crimes.
the history !
BEFORE THE OUTBREAK
Honey was always a bright girl, from an early age her smiles and laughter seemed to carry her through most everything life had to throw at her. At only eight years old, the girl learned of her cancer, and, like all other things in her life, she simply fought through it with a bright smile and a bounce in her step. It was just another hurdle for the child, and while her parents drew strength from her, she gladly kicked cancers ass without batting a lash. This was how she faced school, as well. With a bright smile, and a sunny demeanor.
Once she hit highschool, Honey proved to be the top of her class in nearly everything she touched. Avid studier, and passionate about her work, she tended to be seen as more of a "teacher's pet", which, while garnering her some envy and hate from the other students, put her in the right spot for some very good recommendation letters for some of the biggest colleges in the country. It was her last year of school when everything seemed to hiccup. At first, it was it was just that. A hiccup, riots in the streets, police shootings. Though her mother was worried about her going to school, she simply refused to leave just because some people were having issues with the police.
In truth it was a typical teenage life, if one truly reflects on it, which she does constantly. She had the jock boyfriend, sat in the cold for his football games, and desperately did everything she could to finish high school on time so she wasn't left behind when her friends moved on to college. It was at one of those football games, her arms wrapped around her body, her small frame shifting back and forth in an attempt to see the field better, that everything came crashing down around her ears. Harsh reality hit them all, as dead rushed the field, and, while parents searched out children, Honey searched out her boyfriend..
AFTER THE OUTBREAK
It was a vision she carried with her for the next two years. The view of her boyfriend torn to shreds, teeth being dug into his legs, the horror on his face. she'd run home from there, non-stop, her arms pumping at her sides, her body spattered in the blood of several people from the game. For months she stayed put with her family, a large brood who shared a large home. Their gates kept them safe, something her father pointed out repeatedly to her mother about the expensive home they lived in. Of course eventually the food ran out, and they had to leave the small compound they had made in search of more. The more the gate opened, the less it worked to keep them secure, the more people left and never returned, until, eventually, the only ones left were Honey and her parents.
Struggling to survive on very little, the trio put their belongings together and followed the rumors of safety. Whereas Disneland was close to them, traveling in the world now was an intensely difficult and different experience than it had been before. Long before they ever reached the gates, Honey was alone. Having lost those she'd spent her life so happy with, the world now seemed comparatively dull and lackluster compared to what it had been just a few short years before.
