Annoyance covered her face in a angry pout. Her hand was aching from holding the paint brush, and her feet were hurting from standing. She sighed and dropped her arm to her side, her eyes staring blankly ahead at the cream color she'd choose to cover the graffiti. She was annoyed that this was the third time some one had graffiti-ed a ride, and doubly annoyed that they had choose to graffiti Snow White's ride. She had a close connection with the character, seeing as how she had played Snow White in the park for a few years before all hell broke loose. If I catch whoever is doing this, I swear...She set the paint brush inside the can of paint again. Letting the bristles soak up as much of the cream color liquid as they could, before slapping it against the wall again. They had disfigured all of the dwarves and gave Snow White and interesting mustache. Lily found herself close to tears. She hated cleaning, and she hated that there was still this kind of immature behavior going on while the rest of the world was falling to pieces. She shook her head, getting more paint to cover up Snow's face. She stopped for a moment and stared, it was like looking at an ancient artifact. It was only a mural of a Disney Princess, but one day it would be a mural of a lost and forgotten time. Lily was determined to re-paint the mural as best she could afterwards. And then she would hunt down the little brats that did this and make them pay with... Well, whatever hooligans paid with. A pounding in her head was starting and she wasn't sure if it was the fumes of the paint, or the heat that was causing her to feel nauseous. She blamed it all on stress. Things had been fine before all those people showed up. Sure they were running low on supplies, there were ten of them living in a tiny room together, but they had been happy. Happy people who didn't destroy everything they touched. Another bout of annoyance hit her and she gritted her teeth. Where is everyone else? Couldn't someone else have painted this? She grumbled to herself, she really hated to do manual labor. She lowered her arm to her side again after covering Snow White's face in paint. With a sad smile she sighed. " OH NO!" Lily had glanced down and noticed the clean line of cream paint that now adorned her red skirt. " Oh man!" She dropped the bucket of paint, watching in slow motion as it hit the ground on it's side and rolled on to her foot, cool paint quickly filled her black slip on's and trailed away from the wall. " Ugh!" She turned and threw the paint brush out the open window of the ride and pouted. Then she picked up the bucket and threw that through the window as well, adding an irritated scream to go along with it. " WHO DID THIS!?"

He had noticed more and more lately that there was graffiti around the park, even caught a few young ones red handed with the spray cans and sternly taken them to their parents. Logically, he knew it was incredibly inane to worry about park displays when they would rot and rust in the next few years. Becoming old news when everyone here died, when the freaks finally broke in and took over but it seemed seeing the park in a clean state kept up morale and as long as people stayed positive, there was more chance for survival on everyone's part.
While he kept a look out around the area, he heard someone exclaim something in the distance. “Could be trouble,” he murmured to himself quietly as he went in the direction of the noise. It took him several minutes, rifle over his shoulder and military cap firmly on his head as he entered the fold. He saw a woman standing there in a red skirt, which made him roll his eyes. Skirts were not the standard people should be wearing today, it would likely cause you to fall or get bit, should the place be overrun.
He schooled his features, looking around. This place was garfittied too, no surprise there and this woman, who he had seen around plenty enough times but never had any interest in getting to know her, was obviously repainting everything. “Everything okay in here, Miss?,' he asked, his voice detached, bordering on cold like he really didn't care but like he thought earlier, they couldn't afford negativity when so much was at stake.
He could see she was disturbed by whatever was unfolding, as there was paint all over the floor, across her black shoes. Nothing looked okay, but it was common decency even if she wasn't dying and it wasn't any of his concern.

" NO!" A whine started in her throat and she stamped one of her newly painted shoes on the ground. It landed in a pool of paint and she felt it splatter all over her legs. "UGH!" Her arms flew up in the air. If Lily was good at anything it was throwing tantrums. Usually she did so to get her way, but now she was just annoyed with the horrible turn of events. She realized that she was pouting over a skirt and a pair of shoes, which in reality wasn't the biggest loss she could suffer. But did people even know how hard it was to find clothes that matched in this day and age. Probably not. She was meticulous about her dress, and now that she had lost the only shoes that matched everything, and probably lost her favorite red skirt, she was not in the mood. " Do you even know how hard it is to find matching clothes!" She swung her arms down to showcase her ruined skirt. Why couldn't the paint have splattered her shirt, it was white and probably wouldn't have mattered much in the grand scheme of things. But no, it had to ruin her most favorite of clothing. She glared at the stranger, she recognized him from somewhere, he was always prowling around the park and she hadn't thought much of him. Lily had been spending much of her time trying to organize a group to go around the park and clean up the messes that everyone was making. She continued to stare at him, he hadn't said much. " Why are you still here? Shouldn't you be finding whoever did this!?" She pointed at the wall she had almost finished painting over. The cream didn't hide all of the graffiti very well, she was going to have to do a few more coats before it looked decent enough. Then she'd have to figure out how to paint to redo the mural. Or she could find someone to do it, maybe. She was too annoyed at the moment to think much past the icky feeling in her shoes. She turned her attention back to the stranger noticing the rifle on his shoulder and lowered her arm, she knew she was acting rather silly about a skirt and a pair of shoes. " I'm sorry. I haven't been having the greatest day." She straightened out her shirt and skirt, immediately hating herself when she rubbed her hand across the paint on her skirt and transferred it to her hand. Faaaaaantastic." I'm Lily, or Snow, whichever."

Arching his brow, he watched her act like an insane toddler who wasn't getting their way. Was this bitch serious right now? Because there was no way any human in their right mind would steep so low to this kind of behavior. Some of the paint she had stamped, splattered onto his camouflage cargo pants. The way she was looking at her outfit, and the attraction, meant she was freaking out about two things. He was about to discern that much but one thing he hated was a whining and right now the dark haired woman was doing a good job of that. It grated on his nerves, but he remained calm for necessity, more than kindness. Though that didn't stop him from opening his mouth. “It won't solve your problems by acting like a petulant child,” he said straight, eyebrow falling down. “Just go get a new outfit and you'll be fine.”
He scoffed at her answer. He was right, she was incredibly serious. The outfit meant that damn much to her? It was just clothes. In the world of today, you were lucky to have anything to wear, and most people didn't care if they matched or had to wear hole filled jeans. “Do you always act like a big baby about something that doesn't matter? Especially in the bigger picture of things. They're just clothes. Go find something to wear, it doesn't matter what.”
He wanted to laugh, cruelly, but he reigned it in. As she stared, he did the same but his blue-grey eyes were hardened and cold. What a silly bitch this woman was. Didn't she realize the world just wasn't the same anymore? Maybe, she didn't live in reality. “What am I supposed to do about it? I have no control over other people's children and though I've caught a few, it's not my job to police for graffiti. Long as there's somewhere for everyone to live, I don't give a rat's ass rather or not it looks like the day it was made or complete trash.”
He said nothing in reference to her bad day. It was pointless, obviously she didn't have a control over her emotions, which meant she was a liability for the park as a whole. He wouldn't suggest killing her to anyone but whoever she was friends with or had family around, they should definitely give her a crash course in being mild tempered. Should he introduce himself? He supposed it wouldn't hurt, though he knew he wasn't winning any points by telling her in a roundabout way how stupid she was for acting that way. “Lionheart,” he said deciding on simple. He hadn't told anyone his real name in a long time, even his grandfather called him Lionheart these days to keep up appearances and Grandfather went by Leo instead of his full name.

Lily had never been one to think sensibly when she was upset. In fact, she usually let her emotions run the show and damn the consequences. The consequences being she didn't really filter what came out of her mouth, and a lot of it ended up being rambling nothing. Or rather insulting. Then she's feel guilty, and then she'd feel annoyed at feeling guilty and she'd get lost in her own emotions for awhile before emerging and being perfectly fine. Lily was a complex creature. She had been nice thus far, allowing Lionheart to yell at her about her foolishness over some clothes, but all the while her anger bar was slowly getting closer to one hundred percent. " I'm sorry. You're right. How silly of me to care about ANYTHING THAT ISN'T DYING!" Lily threw her arms up over her head as she yelled. She was a very expressive person, and she planned on showing Lionheart the folly of his ways. " Why shouldn't I care about my appearance!? Is there a zombie horde here now? Should I be dressed up in camouflage!?" She glanced around her, looking for anything she could pick up and throw at him. Probably wouldn't be the best idea, but she was angry enough to hurt someone. " Just because the world is ending, doesn't mean we can't care about something! Doesn't mean we can't treat our new home with love and respect!" She felt close to tears, her hands busied themselves with her skirt. Trying desperately to clean the paint from the fabric. Lily realized quickly that the action was futile and stopped. Raising her hands to her hips she glared at Lionheart, spreading her legs so she appeared bigger than her tiny frame was. She didn't like to be intimidated by anyone. " How can we be a civilized community if we just let people run around doing whatever they want! If we're all that's left in the world, then we're a sad... And, uh... Really sad excuse for the human race!" Lily could feel the heat on her cheeks. Her anger and annoyance was starting to turn into embarrassment and she didn't like it. There was nothing to be embarrassed about. She was right, about everything, all the time. Right? They needed to be a more cohesive group, now more than ever, how would they repopulate the world with a bunch of hooligans and criminals. Lily glanced down again, finding her spare brush and picking it up. She held it in her hands for a moment, turning it over and over. " I don't see what's so bad about caring about my appearance. Some people still enjoy the finer things in life." She glared at him again, and for no other reason, than she could, she threw the brush at Lionheart and stuck out her tongue. She wasn't the most mature person left alive. TAG LIONHEART WORDS 478 NOTES This is going to get ridiculous. xD
